In Grief

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye
sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14

For the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. Isaiah 49:13b
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not
overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings

and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To Proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all
that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of
joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61: 1-3

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was
in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15,16

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I
will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting
joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee
